About the monument
The last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World
Built over 4,500 years ago on the Giza Plateau, the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure are the oldest — and only surviving — members of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Together with the Great Sphinx they form a UNESCO World Heritage site at the western edge of modern Cairo.
